You’re the one who wanted a big family, even when it didn’t look like you and your troll-like husband Jon Gosselin weren’t able to have them. Kate Gosselin and Jon both persevered, and with the help of some modern medical magic ended up with 8 kids. But did that make Jon and Kate happy? No. As evidenced by their long-running reality TV show, the huge family was a means to an end for both Kate and Jon.

Because of their huge family, the Gosselins became modern day freaks who became of interest to millions of people who watched them for the sheer enjoyment of seeing two losers try and cope with a lifestyle they can barely handle.

Most importantly, Kate Gosselin has had plenty of help and plenty of money, which has aided her greatly in raising the kids. Now she and Jon are breaking up for good. Of course dealing with the end of relationships is difficult for anyone, but it’s much harder for Kate because she’s attempting to play out her drama in the national media.

One thing seems likely. Kate Gosselin is losing her appeal now that “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ has ended. Her how long interview with Natalie Morales “Kate: Her Story,” only attracted 3.795 million viewers. This is a far cry from the type of numbers her and Jon were used to pulling.

Could it mean fatigue has set in with the masses? It seems likely. Now that Jon and Kate Gosselin are no longer teamed up to help raise their kids, they have turned into a sideshow act, sniping at each other ceaselessly during tabloid spots and TV interviews.

Not only that, Kate Gosselin can no longer talk about her life without crying. It’s time to dry your eyes, Kate. Your marriage has failed. Jon Gosselin has already moved onto other women and another life. Now the only thing that matters is the children. Kate, you need to dry your eyes and stand up tall for your kid’s sake. What kind of message are they learning by seeing mommy bawling on TV every day?

Right now “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ is dead. Unless Jon Gosselin relents, or the two parties find another way to settle, the show will likely stay off the air. Even if it comes back, it remains to be seen how many viewers will be interested in watching, now that the leads have separated and gone their own ways.

TLC and Kate Gosselin herself seem to be very reluctant to let the end of the show happen. TLC has been doing everything in its power to keep Kate in the news. But this new depressing Kate Gosselin is not something that can entertain any of us for long.

Kate Gosselin is crying crocodile tears at a time in American when a massive recession continues to drag on. She’s living in a $1.1 million home and is getting money from a TV show, all the while she’s complaining about cash and saying how she misses Jon. For millions of her fellow Americans, they should have life so tough!

So that’s it, Kate. The next time I see you on TV, I want a smile. Think about your fancy house, your TV royalties, and uh, yeah, those eight healthy children you have. Then smile.

According to a recent article in Star, Kate Gosselin discovered her diary was missing on October 2, just after a visit from Jon Gosselin ended.

“She left the diary on her nightstand by accident and was praying it’d still be there when she got back, but it wasn’t,” an insider said. “The kids told Kate they didn’t steal it, so she thinks Jon might have. She’s flipping out.”

If the diary was taken by Jon, it could prove big trouble for Kate. After all, in it she wrote down details of her life that could be considered damaging in another context. The insider said Kate Gosselin wrote freely about her body image issues, details concerning her sex life, and the fact that she’s often overwhelmed by the large number of children she’s caring for.

“She’s distraught,” said the insider. “Kate knows that if Jon got his hands on that journal, he would sell it so he could make some money and embarrass her at the same time. She hates being in such a vulnerable position.”

The biggest trouble spots for Kate could be the revelations about her sex life. It turns out she’s missing how good Jon Gosselin treated her in the sack.

“Kate admits she misses the good sex that she and Jon used to have back when they got along. They used to really click in bed.”

Not only that, but Kate even misses the little gnome, Jon.

“Kate’s pretty lonely, and she would like someone around again,” said the insider. “She thought she’d spend the rest of her life with him.”

Kate Gosselin could also be concerned that her body issues would be made into a public topic. It turns out she isn’t happy with how she looks.

“She thinks her bottom looks strange and her thighs could be a lot thinner. Kate also wants a breast augmentation to make them bigger.”

Kate is also concerned that revelations about how she feels about her huge family would be received by the public. At times, Kate can barely handle her eight children.

“Kate’s really struggling. There is so much help around all the time because she can’t constantly deal with all the kids’ problems. There are days when she thinks ‘What have I done?’”

Kate Gosselin’s issues aren’t confined to body image or family size, though. She even wrote about how she felt about certain celebrities in her diary. It turns out Kate doesn’t like Joy Behar of “The View.”

“[She] isn’t a big fan of Joy because, unlike the other hosts, she insisted on asking tough questions,” said the insider. “Kate really felt put on the spot when Joy demanded to know why she just didn’t take her kids off TV.”

Now the question is what will Jon Gosselin do if he really does have the diary? That’s a question that could keep Kate up at night wondering.

“If Jon got his hands on the that diary – he has so much to gain and Kate has a lot to lose!”

It looks like just another day in the bitter, after-Divorce life of the Gosselins.

Where once love ruled, now only animosity exists.

Not only do Jon and Kate Gosselin not like each other any more, they’re more than willing to let the world know it.

“Jon wants Kate to lose everything and see her have to rely on him for support,” a friend of Jon’s told the tabloid. Recent action from Kate seems to indicate there’s some validity to this assertion. Kate told the Today show on October 1 that Jon took all but $1,346.00 from a joint check book.

“When you have left your children and their mother unable to pay for the roof over their head, it’s not acceptable,” a visibly upset Kate said. “I have a stack of bills in my purse I can’t put in the mail.”

Jon Gosselin denied Kate’s claim. He fired back with questions of his own concerning the family finances.

“She’s hiding money. We have 11 bank accounts. That was just our joint account,” he told The Insider. “She had a best-selling book (Eight Little Faces) Where’s that million dollars?”

Kate also claimed that she hoarded a bit of cash for the kids because Jon Gosselin was behaving so erratically.

“I was afraid,” she said. “He was literally buying erratic purchases.”

Jon Gosselin has been living a more high-flying life now that he’s moving on from Kate.

“In the last month or two, he bought a Mercedes SUV. He has an apartment in New York City and has blow through so much money taking his friends out,” said his friend.

The friend also said Jon seems a bit clueless about managing finances.

“Paying bills sucks…I don’t even remember spending all this money” said Jon, according to the pal.

Of course the big center of contention right now is the formerly high rated TV show. TLC wanted to dump Jon from “Jon and Kate Plus 8″ and instead focus on Jon. When Jon felt he would be pushed out of the show, he fought back. He had his attorney file a cease and desist letter with TLC to stop filming of “Kate Plus 8.”

“It’s detrimental to my kids,” he told Larry King.

Insiders now claim that Jon is angling for his own show. As far as he’s concerned, viewers are bored with Kate Gosselin and the eight kids and are probably more interested in his sexual antics.

“Jon thinks viewers are getting tired of the kids now that they’ve gotten older,” said the insider. “He was so sure his sexual escapades would be a ratings boost.”

The future of the show is up in the air, but it seems certain the war between Jon and Kate is just getting started.

Thanks to Jon Gosselin, the kids are no longer able to work on the family TV show. According to Kate, that isn’t sitting well with the youngsters.

“They were wailing and sobbing; they are angry,” said Kate on an October 5 episode of Today.

It wasn’t the only mention Kate made of the kids being unhappy. Later that same day she called into “The View” and expressed similar sentiments.

“My kids are upset,” she said, concerning the cancellation of a show sponsored visit to the Statue of Liberty. “They don’t understand why we can’t do that.”

The motives of Jon Gosselin are being called into question. According to him, he doesn’t want the kids being filmed because doesn’t think “it’s healthy for them.”

Why would Jon Gosselin suddenly not want his children involved in the TLC reality show? Kate Gosselin and TLC think it’s because Jon Gosselin was to have a greatly reduced role on a new series entitled “Kate Plus 8.”

“Jon has never expressed an concerns to me about our children being involved in the show,” Kate Gosselin said on October 1. “In fact he was taping on Friday with the kids.”

TLC was more concise in their criticism. They said Jon was acting “erratic” and “clearly oppotrunistic.”

Like all divorces, it looks like the break up between Jon and Kate Gosselin is now in the nasty stages, with allegations over the money coming in at a fast pace. Both Jon and Kate will earn a lot less money than they’ve become accustomed to with the end of “Jon and Kate Plus 8.”

“Ending filming has ended our income and paychecks and our opportunities,” Kate told Today. On that day she told Today that John had also taken $230,000 out of a joint bank account, leaving her unable to pay bills. “I have a stack of bills.” She also mentioned that Jon has been making “erratic purchases and randomly buying things.”

Now the big question becomes what Jon and Kate will do to re-invigorate their fledgling careers. It’s not as if they’re famous for singing and dancing. The two have achieved notoriety for the large size of the multiple-birth family. This isn’t exactly a career skill that translates easily into big money in other venues. One thing hasn’t changed for Jon and Kate Gosselin. They are still making the cover of many national publications.

Kate thinks Jon is going too far in trying to keep his name in print.

“She finds it disgusting that he would go to these lengths just to keep his name in the papers,” a friend of Kate’s told OK!

Of course Kate Gosselin can’t speak about Jon’s bad behavior without calling attention to her own poor acts.

“It’s contradictory to say ‘We have the children’s best interests at heart,’ then speak poorly about each other in the media,” Karen Deerwester, parent educator, told OK! “The children have a record of all this, and when they’re old enough they’re going to see it.”

Another parenting expert, Stacy DeBroff, put it even more frankly.

“They might as well deposit their earnings straight into a therapy trust fund.”

Time will tell just how negative of an effect the divorce and subsequent removal from reality TV will have on the Gosselins.

Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston couldn’t remain together under the harsh glare of the spotlight. Neither could Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson. Need I mention Hulk Hogan and his beloved Linda?

Out of so many reality TV celebrities who pimped out their privacy for cash, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne are one of very few couples who remained married after the show ended.

The Gosselins at first seemed like they would make it. The couple took on the TLC show because the expense of having so many kids was intense. With reality TV show cash coming in, they could pursue their lifestyle and have enough money for the demands of eight children. But somewhere along the way, the fame went to their heads, and despite the high level of entitlement they became accustomed to, the pressure of life in the fishbowl proved more than they could handle.

Now the grand times are behind them, and Kate and Jon Gosselin will soon have to adjust to life without the glare of TV cameras and without the huge paychecks provided by being “trainwreck” entertainment for millions of Americans. They are just two former lovers going through a divorce, and like so many others in the same situation, they are hurling accusations at each other while scrambling to asset their independence.

Jon Gosselin has decided to become a pudgy Lothario. He is routinely wooing women half his age. Kate Gosselin, for her part, seems less than eager to release her tenuous grasp on fame. She was reduced to tears the other day after learning that Jon had drained their joint account of $230,000. That left her with only $1,000, which was not enough to pay her bills. In a sense, being unable to pay the bills for her un-naturally large family was what was fated for her before she began filming “Jon and Kate Plus 8.” Now, just as water seeks its own level, Jon and Kate Gosselin seem to be heading into the gutter from whence they sprang.

Both Jon and Kate are now claiming to speak for their children. Jon says the kids hate being on TV, and he plans on not allowing them to be filmed. Kate says the children love the crew from TLC and love the attention they get as mini-stars. In reality, it’s hard to believe the kids even understand half of what’s going on. To watch them suffer through a televised divorce seems rather cruel.

What’s left for Jon and Kate?

Plenty of time in the tabloids, all the while paying lawyers whatever money they actually earned for the television run. One thing seems certain, they haven’t done that great of a job with their personal finances.

The still owe $720,000 on the mortgage for their $1.1 million home. That’s just for starters.

“I have a stack of bills,” Kate said. “The last thing I wanted was to do this show and end up not being able to pay our bills.”

If true, Kate Gosselin is right back to where she was before filming started. Only now, she’s in even worse shape because she doesn’t have a husband to help.

Jon Gosselin isn’t letting any slight go unanswered. He said that Kate is making up the story about him taking the money.

“I’ve never taken any money out because, over 10 years, Kate handled all the banking,” Jon said. “She’s hiding money.”

One thing we can all bank on. The children in this marriage will definitely be used as ammunition when Jon and Kate go at each other. Jon Gosselin has already attempted to pull the kids from filming, which would destroy TLC’s idea of a “Kate Plus 8.”

TLC announced on October, 1 that filming has been halted. They announced their actions after one of Jon Gosselin’s lawyers told them he would not allow filming of his kids at the home any more.

To an outside observer, it seems as if this is a ploy on behalf of Jon to retain some control over the money coming in from TLC. The letter came in on the same day that TLC had announced they were dumping Jon and going with Kate.

The future of their marriage is clear. The future of any potential televisions projects is now very much in the air. Jon and Kate Gosselin have come full circle to where they were when the whole journed started, only a bit wiser and a bit worse for the wear.

At this point the real question is: does America still care? They seem to be eating up the tabloid accusations, but once that dies down will people still be interested in watching a show involving these two? For Jon and Kate, that’s the multi-million dollar question.

“I took a lot of abuse from her,” said Gosselin during an interview that will air September 8 for ABC’s Primetime: Family Secrets. “I was put down.”

Many have speculated that Kate Gosselin eventually dumped Jon after finding out he was running around with younger women. Jon, for his part, says the troubles started long before. He said the problems were related to Kate’s fame and how she desperately wanted to stay in the limelight.

“Well, excuse me, I’m taking care of the kids,” he said. “She’s on book tours, she’s doing all these things. You know, she’s gone a week. You know, comes back. Unpacks, repacks, does laundry, packs up and leaves again. I’m standing there like, ‘Oh, okay. Your mom’s gone again.’”

Kate and Jon Gosselin decided to end their decades long marriage this year, despite having a huge worldwide audience for their reality show “Jon and Kate Plus 8.”

Jon Gosselin is not the only one to have complaints about Kate Gosselin this week. Even “Octomom” Nadya Suleman took exception with her.

“It’s so staged,” Suleman told In Touch while looking at pictures of Kate. “She’s doing it to get people to take pictures of her. I’m not as attention-seeking.”

According to an insider, Kate Gosselin isn’t too happy about Nadya Suleman, either.

“Nadya originally reached out to Kate and asked her to make an appearance on the documentary,” an insider said. “Kate didn’t turn down the offer, she just never responded, and that probably made Nadya upset.”

It looks like the unholy triumvirate of reality multiple birth parents is just beginning to act up. Expect more out of all these characters in coming weeks.

Kate Gosselin appeared on the Today Show and seemed visibly upset when questioned by Meredith Viera about her soon to be ex-husband Jon.

“I was shocked, but those things… to be very honest, that’s his life and they don’t affect me directly at this point,” she said.

A dour-looking Kate said she will try new things that she hasn’t done before, despite the trouble in her marriage.

“I am as well as can be expected,” she told Meredith when asked how she was doing. She also said she wakes up and feels a “lot of failure” over the end of the marriage. She also said that although she doesn’t think the separation with Jon is good for the kids, it is “what had to be done.”

Kate is still wearing her wedding ring, and when asked why she said “Because of them…” and started bawling.

She also went on to say she doesn’t think that Jon and her will getting back together any time soon. “When the time is right, I’ll take it off,” she said about her wedding ring.

In essence, Kate Gosselin said all the right things. Whether she means it or not is up to America to decide. John Gosselin has gone on the record saying that Kate told him last October that the marriage was over. Then she goes on to say that she agreed with John because “they both had very different goals.”

Let’s face facts. It’s tough to believe in anyone who goes on television and cries over their personal life. If she’s so broken up, certainly she could spend time with a counselor getting over the grief. Instead, here she is with the plastered hair and the pinched look on her face as always crying about how she didn’t want the divorce.

Bitch, please!

At least I’ll give Jon Gosselin credit for having fun and being himself after the divorce. He hasn’t shed any crocodile tears about how he wishes things would have turned out differently. Hell, partying with young women has to be a lot more fun than hanging out with sour-puss Kate and the 8 rugrats.

And what of the rugrats in all this mess?

It’s shameful to think that Kate hasn’t sat them down and explained that “Daddy went away. You can buy a copy of the National Enquirer if you want to see him.” Get on with it already. The kids have a right to know what’s going on. It’s bad enough they have to live in a fish tank, but now Kate is spoon-feeding them with intentional mis-information.

Meredith didn’t ask any of the questions I would have liked Kate to answer. Like “did you have an affair before Jon?” or “Do you really miss Jon or are you just upset because your marriage failed and you can’t pose as a perfect mother anymore.”

The most galling aspect of Kate Gosselin is not just her tummy tuck and her $1.1 million home bought with reality TV money. No. The part that is most annoying is that this woman has been writing books telling people how to parent! That’s like Saddam Hussein writing a book about how to be nice to other people! Before she pens another tome giving American moms (most of whom are doing a great job of raising their own kids) any more advice, I suggest she gets her own parenting in check. Most people don’t use their kids to get famous or for a regular paycheck. Sure, the kids are too young to know the difference now, but in time they’ll know how badly they were exploited and they’ll come to hate their mother just as much as Joan Crawford’s did.

So I ask you, reader, do you believe any of this crap Kate is spewing?

Now, it’s clear that Jon and Kate Gosselin have other agendas.

The new episodes of the program reveal different sides of both Kate and Jon. In the two episodes that aired, Kate flaunted her bikini and Jon appeared even more disconnected from his familial unit than ever.

For long time viewers of the show, the switch in focus to a single Jon and Kate might be very hard to accomplish.

It’ s not like the show was ever good, but really, this is going to get ridiculous.

Kate Gosselin is a narcissist who loves flaunting off her cottage cheese thighs and her tucked tummy while throwing eye daggers are her kids.

Jon Gosselin is a man trapped in arrested adolescence who is chasing skirts where ever he can.

The children are being forced to live in a confusing environment because their parents don’t have enough gumption to get real jobs.

And this, I ask, is entertainment?

Kate and Jon used to be in on it together. Now the couple is at odds. Viewers are expected to pick sides and decide which one of these people they like better. The trouble is, both of them are pretty despicable. If they loved their kids they would put them first, no matter what. Screw the TV cameras. Tell TLC to stick it and go back to being private citizens and put a real emphasis on raising their kids.

But will they?

Of course not. Kate and Jon are used to the lavish lifestyle of being “reality TV” celebrities. Kate loves having nannies and bodyguards. Jon loves being able to pick up young women who are impressed with his fame. If these two had to rely on their wiles or skills in order to maintain gainful employment, they would fall flat. Without “Jon and Kate Plus 8” Jon and Kate Gosselin would have to move back to their trailer parks and would join the ranks of the unemployed. Exactly what job they could get after being a “Reality Star” is anybody’s guess, but you can rest assured it will involve sitting on a panel with Tonya Harding, Danny Bonaduce, and Todd Bridges.

The bottom line is, as long as there are enough dumb people out there to watch their show, Jon and Kate can continue on doing nothing. They can earn undeserved paychecks and bask in their unmerited celebrity.

As long as Jon and Kate remain as “guilty pleasures” to millions of bored Americans, they will remain in the public eye. Based on other talentless reality celebrities, this could go on forever.

So, for the viewers out there who plan on sticking with Jon and Kate and spending their valuable time watching the show, what is it you like so much about Jon and Kate? Will you continue to watch?

You know what I realized? These are both pretty horrible people when you get right down to it!

There’s almost no reason to choose a winner between Jon and Kate because that’s akin to asking what someone likes better, a cold or the flu. Neither is good and should be avoided at all costs!

Bad people exploit their kids for fame and money

The first thing any of us has to realize is that it takes two to tango. Jon and Kate Gosselin both signed up for multiple births and then both were happy to sell out their own and their children’s privacy for the bag of loot reality television offered. Not only that, they brought their kids into it, without their consent. And that is always wrong, no matter which second rate celebrity is doing it.

The kids didn’t ask to be famous. Hell, children don’t even ask to be brought into this world, let alone paraded around in front of an audience of millions. What exact fact this type of upbringing this will have Jon and Kate’s “Plus 8″ remains unknown, but if the lives of former child stars is any indication, it can’t be all that good.

But Kate and Jon didn’t mind selling out the kids as long as they got what they wanted. A $75,000 weekly paycheck, tons of free swag, and more than their 15 minutes of fame are what the Gosselin’s received in return for losing their right to privacy. They have had a glaring spotlight pointed into their home for years now. Few, if any, marriages could withstand this type of scrutiny, let alone a marriage that had the added responsibility that only multiple births bring with it.

Divorce is bringing out the worst in Jon and Kate Gosselin

Now that the marriage is over, we will likely see more of Jon and Kate Gosselin and their true colors.

For Kate, that means she can continue to be a gold-digging manipulative trailer mama and for Jon it means he’ll spend his life as an aging party boy, constantly chasing younger women, looking for the party he missed during his decade long attachment to Kate.

For the kids, the future is a little more uncertain. It’s hard enough to be children of divorce, let alone to have to act it out in the public spotlight. I would be amazed if these children end up without behavioural problems. Because now, when they need their parents most, both Jon and Kate, seem to be more self absorbed than ever.

Jon and Kate have both failed their children the same way they failed each other. The only reason they haven’t let the rest of us down is because none of us expect anything from them. For us they’re just a couple of buffoons acting out for our amusement. Now, as they sink deeper into the depravity of their lives, watching them will become even more gleeful and diabolical fun than before.

Watching Kate prance around with her kids as if life is just one big photo opportunity and Jon hitting on 22 year old party girls is the type of morbid fun that is so common in the 21st century. Expecting Jon and Kate to suddenly act right is like expecting the whole nation to all of a sudden forget who these two are.

It ain’t gonna happen.

Who is worse, Jon or Kate?

Now he wants to date younger women and party. And?

The guy deserves some time off after putting up with Kate (plus the 8 rugrats) for a decade. Call it time off good behaviour, if you will.

But clearly not everyone sees the issue as clearly as I do. In fact, there seems to be a bias when it comes to reporting on Jon. Let’s call a spade a spade. Clearly Jon Gosselin is a victim of man-hating.

Kate Gosselin goes everywhere with her “bodyguard” for years and hardly anyone arches an eyebrow. Jon Gosselin tramps off to Europe with a slutty 23 year old and suddenly it’s like the Sun didn’t shine in the morning.

And of course everyone just assumes that Jon has been cheating on Kate for the whole marriage, just because he’s enjoying some female companionship for the first time in years.

Let’s face it: unless you’ve been spending time in the Gosselin’s bedroom you don’t know whether Kate has been giving Jon the loving he deserves or not. You know how women can be. Once they have eight kids they suddenly pretend they’re not interested in the important things in life. Like pleasing their men.

Kate Gosselin has been so busy combing her nasty hair and getting her cellulite sucked out that she’s barely had time to even bark her usual orders at Jon. Suddenly now Jon has “abandoned his kids” as Life and Style so loudly proclaimed on their recent cover. Hello! Going on a vacation is hardly what I would call abandonment. Telling the family you’re going out for cigarettes and never coming back is.

There has been no indication that Jon Gosselin has any intention of “abandoning” his children. In fact, he probably will enjoy his time with his kids much better now that he’s come to terms with the end of his marriage and is in a much more relaxed state than ever before. There’s nothing like partying with young women and having the first satisfying sex in years to help and improve a man’s personality.
